Maximize Your Marketing

Can you believe it’s April already? I can and I can’t. I spent a lot of time in March sharing the basics of digital marketing with you in order to help you take your marketing efforts further with a few simple techniques.

After 4 webinars and 8 blogs talking about digital marketing basics, March and its topic feel pretty complete. Spring in general and April in particular include several conferences about digital signage. We have attended one already and have a few more lined up so digital signage, in-store kiosks, on-shelf and overhead displays are top of mind. Digital marketing and digital signage are not mutually exclusive so the first B2C blog of the month seems like a perfect time to connect the dots of the two subjects for you.

Increase Your Efforts

In a nutshell, March showed you how to optimize your business listings so that your business is found in online searches. If you’ve relied on old school print marketing, we strongly recommend you read through some of the blogs or watch the Slideshare presentations from last month to understand how online marketing supports your print marketing efforts. The images and information in your print materials should be consistent with what customers searching for your business see online. This consistent messaging helps customers make connections between your physical business, your marketing materials, and your online search results.

Bring it Home

Once your print and online materials align, the magic of digital signage happens. Your promoted products are seen on in-store screens allowing customers to easily find the items they saw in your advertisements. Your logo and brand messaging carry through to these screens too, solidifying your business in the mind of your customer. Next week we will focus on how in-store displays help improve the customer experience once they are in your store, another way to maximize your marketing.

Read the Signs

In light of all the digital signage conferences, you’re going to hear about creating an omnichannel experience or have the opportunity to chime in about LED or LCD monitors being the best way to build customer engagement within your store. Don’t let the big, complex words and emerging technology scare you off. We have the knowledge and experience to help you understand how each piece of the digital marketing world can benefit your store as well as talk about cross-channel strategies that make your marketing more efficient, fancy words for using social media and a web page or other online marketing forum together—see, not so hard.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Things change so quickly in the tech world. The changes are, for the most part, extremely helpful to marketing your business successfully but can also be another thing to manage. We’re here to help. Ask away.
