Get to Know Sellr

Written by Renee Clare-Kovacs March 02, 2017

Customer experience is crucial to your business. Once your Sellr site is driving traffic to your store, when they come in, the customer’s experience is what will elevate you from being the beverage store down the street to the go-to beverage store.

Customer Engagement is Key

The biggest piece of the customer experience is engagement. Engaging with your customers is a significant yet inexpensive way to market your store. It’s as simple as being available to them, asking questions, thanking them for coming in, and extending a genuine offer to welcome them back. By getting to know your customers, you can help them find what they are looking for and make qualified recommendations for add-ons.

Get to Know Us

When you employ customer engagement, you get to know the customer and the customer gets to know you. A good old-fashioned handshake and introduction will do, of course, but let’s be honest, it’s awkward. A great place to do introductions is on your website. Your site is designed to let your customers know what to expect. Knowing who they might be interacting with is a part of that.

How Do I Do That?

Don’t worry. I want to help you. Every Thursday this month I will be sharing ways for you to engage your customers in a customer experience that begins before they walk through your door. To kick this off, the Sellr team is going to introduce themselves to you.

When we say About Us on our website, we mean it. We want you to know about us. That’s why we answer a questionnaire to introduce ourselves, let you know what we do at Sellr, and share some fun facts. (It might also be because I said the team needs to but hey, turnabout is fair play, right?)

The Questionnaire

To get started, I asked the team to fill out a questionnaire. If you’d like to answer it, feel free. I’d love to get to know you better too. (See, engagement!) It asked for name, title, and then asked my teammates to answer 4 of 10 fun questions like, “What were you like in high school?” and “What does a perfect day look like to you?”.

I compiled the answers and will be putting them with each person’s headshot on the About Us page. Now when you schedule a call with a member of the Sellr team, you’ll be able to find them and not only put a name to a face but also know what their top 3 books are and why (it’s another question on the questionnaire).

Building Engagement

A questionnaire might seem like a simple thing. The truth is that it is. But that one simple thing can go a long way towards welcoming new customers and making a connection with existing ones. If you create that kind of customer experience, you can become the go-to beverage store where everybody knows your name.
